Saskatchewan artist and composer team up in the spirit of reconciliation

​The CBC's Ethan Williams brings us the story of Tyrone McKenzie, a composer from Saskatoon, and Kevin Pee-ace, an Indigenous artist originally from Kelvington. McKenzie's new junior band composition called Where the Prairies Meet the Pines is inspired by Kevin's artwork. Aired: Dec. 30, 2021

Tells the story of Saskatoon’s history and special relationship with Chief Whitecap and the Whitecap Dakota First Nation.

Wind Chimes
"Wind Chimes" was commissioned and premiered by the Humboldt Collegiate Institute and Biggar Central School 2000 on June 24th, 2021. Wind Chimes is built on the pentatonic scale. The piece incorporated student ideas to recreate the sound of pentatonic wind chimes in this beautiful composition.

Prairie Worship
